Introducing EnSite Safari Suite^® Version 4

EnSite Safari Suite^® Version 4 supports a new breed of application interfaces offering users ever-expanding capabilities for new product functionality. This new platform supports multiple application design improvements over Version 3, including:

Fully Object-Oriented Business Objects

Providing re-use of business logic components resulting in faster, more efficient application development. Enables faster and more consistent application testing execution, as well as ease of integration with third party applications.

Enhanced Event Logging/Auditing Capabilities

Support for built-in record snapshot logging, providing a full before/after audit log record of every data change made through the application, or through third party applications utilizing the EnSite Safari Suite^® business objects.

Enhanced Security Model

Group-based security settings allow users to inherit security settings from a higher level group definition, which is implemented on the application side instead of the database. The upgraded security model also features full integration with Windows NT^® authentication, allowing the user to pass through their Windows login information to the application without the need for a separate login/password.

Application Server Utilization & Enterprise Connection Pooling for Scalability

Support for easier configuration and utilization of an application server for the business object components. This also provides support for enterprise-wide connection pooling from an Application Server for enhanced scalability.
