Application Program Interface Options

EnSite built the EnSite Safari Suite®  application to accommodate data interfaces with multiple business partners and internal applications. The application contains a generic file import/export component and associated application interface (API) to allow the implementation of any type of data interface operation.

Sample Import Protocol

Data Import for specific applications begins with EnSite's Standard Data Import and Validation Protocol

The API component contains a default user interface for generic file-based data exchange functions; alternately, each individual data interface can be configured to display a custom user interface. The presentation of the standard or a custom interface is seamless to the user, allowing for ease of training and workflow management.

Each individual data interface process is implemented in a separate application component, with each adhering to the common application interface. This means that any facet of customized logic/data operation may be accomplished in any interface component, without regard to how another interface component may be configured. As new data interface requirements continue to arise and evolve in the rapidly changing deregulated energy market, EnSite has found this configuration extremely valuable in implementing the application.

Improvements - EnSite Safari Suite® Version 4

The release of the EnSite Safari Suite® Version 4 upgrade offers further-enhanced application interoperability. The new version incorporates multi-threaded processes to allow a user to initiate functions to occur in tandem with other ongoing operations in the application. The new Microsoft® .NET-enabled architecture also supports a more efficient remote processing architecture to support user initiation of application server processes at any time, as well as an enhanced Safari API with expanded object model for easier third party application integration.
