A Scaled Approach to Cost-Effective Product Deployment

The ultimate goal of deploying the EnSite Safari Suite ASP Solution^® is the same as with our Enterprise solution (see deployment phases for EnSite Safari Suite^® Enterprise edition) and may include many of the same phases of development. The EnSite Safari Suite^® ASP Solution, however, is characterized by remote client access, which necessitates a different deployment model. 

It is important to stress that although the EnSite Safari Suite^® ASP Solution represents the same modules and functionality of our Enterprise solution, it was developed for use by clients who desire to implement a cost-effective, easily deployed solution.  Users experience reduced start-up costs and faster deployment by virtue of the following unique aspects of the EnSite Safari Suite^® ASP Solution:

Limited Project Scope

Customizations to base functionality are by definition limited, as extensive customizations would require an enterprise-level deployment. EnSite's analysts can examine your needs compared to our base functionality and help determine whether the ASP Solution is appropriate for each client's needs.

Limited Infrastructure Requirements

Client hardware requirements are limited, as the software and database are accessed via Internet connection to EnSite's host facility. For example, users of the ASP Solution are not required to have in-house database servers. 

Reduced Interoperability

Because the product and database are deployed locally by EnSite, the Application Program Interface options of the ASP model are limited. Enterprise-level deployments make possible extensive third-party integration; with the ASP solution, users are limited in the extent of third-party integration that can be implemented. As with extensive customization requirements, a client' s need for extensive third-party software and/or hardware integration would necessitate deployment of our enterprise model.
