Implementation - Enterprise Edition
A Phased Approach to Successful Product Deployment
The phases for a typical implementation of EnSite Safari Suite® Enterprise edition are outlined below. Detailed documentation of these phases, including information on implementation tools and environment, is available on request from EnSite.
Phase 1: Initial Planning - Project Scope
High-level Functional Specifications for Customizations
The specifications for all desired customizations will be gathered and documented as a baseline for the project. EnSite utilizes a comprehensive Statement of Work methodology for documenting client acceptance of defined requirements.
Phase 2: Iterative Development in Priority Order
Each major component identified in the Deployment Hierarchy will be managed through the phases of:
- Functional Specification
- Design/Development/User Validation/Testing (Iterative)
- Configuration/Integration
Phase 3: Deployment Milestones
As each major Deployment Milestone is reached, the completed deliverables will be deployed into the client test environment for acceptance testing by client representatives. This environment will be available for testing at any time after the first milestone release.
Phase 4: User/Acceptance/Parallel Testing
The client solution will be tested and validated by client-designated user representatives. Depending upon the project schedule, some development of additional components may proceed in tandem with the user/acceptance testing.
Phase 5: Live Deployment
Upon the completion of the User/Acceptance/Parallel Testing, the completed client system components will be deployed into the “live” client system environment for system rollout.
Phase 6: Ongoing Support & Maintenance
After the live deployment of the client system, system and user support will be provided on an on-going basis. Additional system development and deployment is also possible during this phase, as requested by client.
